Paediatric gastric organoids as a tool for disease modelling and clinical translation

Researchers established a protocol for generating gastric epithelial organoids from pediatric biopsies (ages 4 months to 16 years), creating a human-specific model for studying gastric epithelium. These organoids maintained normal cell polarity and expressed mature gastric cell markers for up to one year in culture, providing a reliable platform for disease modeling and developing translational therapies.
