Giant omphalocele: delayed closure using the San Martin technique following epithelialization of the membrane

Retrospective case series of 8 patients with giant omphalocele managed using the San Martin technique for delayed abdominal wall closure after membrane epithelialization. Median age at surgery was 6 years, with no technique-related complications and median 10-day postoperative stay, suggesting this mesh-free approach is a viable alternative for complex cases.
