The impact of early and successful orchidopexy on hormonal follow-up for 208 boys with bilateral non-syndromic cryptorchidism

Cohort study of 208 boys with bilateral cryptorchidism demonstrates that early orchidopexy, particularly before age 1 year, significantly improves fertility markers including inhibin-B and FSH levels. Despite surgical correction, 26% of patients remained at risk for infertility based on inhibin-B values at follow-up, highlighting the importance of early intervention and continued hormonal monitoring.
