Inclusion of Children’s Surgery in National Surgical Plans and Child Health Programmes: the need and roadmap from Global Initiative for Children’s Surgery

1.7 billion children in LMICs lack surgical access, threatening SDG achievement. The Global Initiative for Children's Surgery provides assessment and implementation tools (CSAT, OReCS) to integrate pediatric surgery into National Surgical Plans and scale up children's surgical care in resource-limited settings.
