Telemedicine in the pediatric surgery in Germany during the COVID-19 pandemic

Cross-sectional study examining telemedicine adoption in German pediatric surgery departments during COVID-19, finding 21% offered remote services with 57% starting due to the pandemic. Despite concerns about lack of physical examination, 48% of parents rated telemedicine equal to or better than in-person visits, with most families and surgeons planning continued use post-pandemic.
