Clinical Assessment of Pediatric Patients with Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma: A 30-Year Experience at a Single Institution

Retrospective 30-year study of 94 pediatric DTC patients shows tumor size >2cm and lymph node involvement predict recurrence, while total thyroidectomy remains standard treatment. Lobectomy may be appropriate for select low-risk patients with tumors <2cm, no nodal disease, and unifocal intrathyroidal lesions.
