Initial experience with transanal proctectomy in children

This pilot case series reports outcomes of transanal completion proctectomy in seven pediatric IBD patients, primarily for ulcerative colitis with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis. The technique proved safe and effective with no conversions, minimal complications, and acceptable functional outcomes at early follow-up.
