Propensity-matched study of 108 pairs comparing LPEC versus LIS for pediatric inguinal hernia repair demonstrates LPEC's superiority with shorter operative times (unilateral 15.8 vs 19 min, bilateral 21.6 vs 26.4 min), faster recovery, and excellent cosmetic outcomes, supporting its adoption as the preferred minimally invasive approach.
