Comparative analysis of robotic-assisted versus laparoscopic cholecystectomy in pediatric patients

Retrospective study of 299 pediatric patients comparing robotic-assisted versus laparoscopic cholecystectomy found similar clinical outcomes and length of stay, but robotic approach had longer operative times (98 vs 79 min) and higher costs ($15,519 vs $11,197). Single-site robotic technique showed increasing adoption over time and may offer cosmetic advantages.
