European survey of 65 pediatric surgeons across 26 countries reveals that centers managing ≥3 SBS patients annually employ significantly more advanced strategies including multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs, intestinal lengthening procedures, and GLP-2 analogs compared to lower-volume centers. Findings highlight the need for broader medical education on SBS management given most pediatric surgeons perform primary surgery regardless of institutional expertise level.
