Pediatric Adjusted Reverse Shock Index Multiplied by Glasgow Coma Scale as a Prospective Predictor for Mortality in Pediatric Trauma

Study of 2,007 pediatric war zone trauma patients validates reverse shock index multiplied by Glasgow Coma Scale (rSIG) as superior to pediatric-adjusted shock index alone for predicting early mortality. The combined physiologic and neurologic scoring tool demonstrated stronger predictive accuracy and may improve triage decisions in resource-constrained combat settings.
