Current status and future challenges in the endoscopic management of non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding in children

Retrospective study of 36 pediatric patients with non-variceal upper GI bleeding found that endoscopic hemostasis achieved 100% initial success, primarily using hemoclip placement. Most cases were associated with gastritis, peptic ulcers, and underlying conditions including viral infection and H. pylori, with only one rebleeding event (7.1%).
