This survey study reveals a significant gap between pediatric surgery trainees and program directors regarding structured mentorship. While 83% of trainees desire formal mentorship programs, only 19% report having one, and PDs show less enthusiasm (40%). Key areas of disagreement include career transition support versus academic development priorities.
