Crossed fused renal ectopia: Diagnosis and prognosis as a single-center experience

Retrospective study of 29 patients with crossed fused renal ectopia over 10 years found that while prenatal ultrasound typically establishes diagnosis, 38% had associated hydronephrosis and 41% had vesicoureteral reflux requiring additional imaging. Patients with extra-urinary malformations (48% of cases) faced higher morbidity risk, with 14% developing chronic kidney disease.
