Esophageal Atresia and Associated Duodenal Atresia: A Cohort Study and Review of the Literature

Cohort study and systematic review examining the rare association of esophageal and duodenal atresia (occurring in 3-6% of EA cases). Analysis of 78 patients shows no mortality difference between primary versus staged surgical correction, but highlights the critical risk of missed duodenal atresia diagnosis during esophageal repair.
