The prevalence of hearing loss in children with congenital diaphragmatic hernia: A longitudinal population-based study

Population-based study of 529 children found hearing loss in 18.4% of CDH patients versus 5.3% of controls (RR=3.48), with no correlation to disease severity. Results suggest congenital factors rather than perinatal exposures drive the increased hearing loss risk in CDH patients.
