Management of functioning pediatric adrenal tumors

Retrospective study of 75 children with functioning adrenal tumors (58 adrenocortical, 17 pheochromocytomas) managed over 36 years. High cure rates achieved with proper diagnosis and surgical management, though recurrence occurred in 10% of adrenocortical cases and 35% of pheochromocytomas. Strong emphasis on familial surveillance given hereditary component.
