Ovarian Sparing Surgery in Mature Ovarian Teratomas in Children: A 20-Year Single-Center Experience

Twenty-year retrospective study of 120 pediatric patients demonstrates that ovarian-sparing tumorectomy is safe and effective for mature ovarian teratomas, with successful preservation in 105 cases including 32 with torsion. Low recurrence rates and high ovarian regeneration support OST as first-line treatment to preserve fertility in children.
