Urinary Outcomes in Patients with Down's Syndrome and Hirschsprung's Disease

Study of 104 Hirschsprung's disease patients reveals those with Down syndrome have significantly higher rates of urinary accidents (44% vs 6%) and more severe urinary symptoms postoperatively. Findings suggest patients with both conditions require enhanced urinary care protocols alongside standard bowel management to improve quality of life.
