Self-compounded Doxycycline Sclerotherapy for the Treatment of Lymphatic Malformations in Low-Resource Settings

This retrospective study from Rwanda demonstrates that self-compounded doxycycline sclerotherapy is an effective, low-cost alternative to surgery for pediatric lymphatic malformations in resource-limited settings. Eight of ten patients achieved at least 80% resolution with minimal complications, making this approach particularly valuable for LMICs where commercial sclerosing agents may be unavailable or prohibitively expensive.
