Catching the red eye: A retrospective review of factors associated with retinal hemorrhage in child physical abuse

This retrospective study identifies clinical factors that predict retinal hemorrhages in infants with suspected abusive head trauma. Infants under 1 year with subdural hemorrhage and abnormal Glasgow Coma Scale warrant routine fundoscopic screening, while those with isolated skull fractures may not require ophthalmology consultation.
