A comparison between short- and long-term D-J stent in Anderson–Hynes pyeloplasty for pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction

This prospective study of 62 pediatric patients compared short-term versus long-term double-J stenting after Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty for PUJ obstruction. Early stent removal (short-term) significantly reduced urinary tract infections and stent colonization while achieving equivalent renal function outcomes.
