Pediatric Surgery during the COVID-19 Pandemic: An International Survey of Current Practice

International survey of 20 pediatric surgeons from the 10 countries most affected by early COVID-19 reveals widespread postponement of non-emergency procedures, adoption of telemedicine, and variable management approaches for conditions like appendicitis and Hirschsprung disease. The study highlights critical knowledge gaps regarding viral transmission during surgical procedures that impacted laparoscopy and endoscopy practices.
