Role of image-defined risk factors in predicting surgical complications of localized neuroblastoma

Retrospective study of 84 localized neuroblastoma patients demonstrates that image-defined risk factors (IDRFs) significantly predict surgical complications, with stage L2 patients showing higher complication rates than L1. The number of IDRFs correlates with major surgical complications, particularly in patients requiring secondary surgery after chemotherapy.
