Retrospective study of 282 jaundiced infants demonstrates that combining GGT and LSM in parallel testing achieves 97-100% sensitivity for biliary atresia screening, with age-specific cutoff values improving diagnostic accuracy. The approach is particularly effective in infants under 90 days, reducing misdiagnosis rates compared to either test alone.
