Diagnostic laparoscopy to exclude malrotation following inconclusive upper gastrointestinal contrast study in infants

Diagnostic laparoscopy offers a minimally invasive alternative to laparotomy for evaluating infants with suspected malrotation when imaging is inconclusive. In this series of 8 infants with bilious vomiting, laparoscopy confirmed normal anatomy in 6 cases and identified malrotation requiring correction in 2, with no complications.
