Is the pleating technique superior to the invaginating technique for plication of diaphragmatic eventration in infants?

This retrospective study compared pleating versus invaginating techniques for diaphragmatic plication in 21 infants over 5 years. Both methods showed equivalent long-term outcomes with no recurrence, but the invaginating technique proved easier to perform thoracoscopically, supporting its use as a viable alternative in pediatric VATS plication.
