Multicenter Analysis of Acquired Undescended Testis and Its Impact on the Timing of Orchidopexy

Multicenter study of 310 boys reveals that acquired undescended testis (testis that ascends after initially normal descent) accounts for 50% of cases and 56% of orchidopexies performed after age one, yet remains underrecognized by physicians. Findings suggest continued screening beyond infancy is needed to detect this common condition.
