Validation of low-cost models for minimal invasive surgery training of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and esophageal atresia

This prospective validation study demonstrates that low-cost simulation models for laparoscopic repair of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and esophageal atresia are effective training tools. Sixty pediatric surgeons evaluated the models during conferences, rating both highly for realism and educational value, supporting their use for preclinical skill development.
