The learning curve for thoracoscopic repair of esophageal atresia with distal tracheoesophageal fistula: A cumulative sum analysis

This retrospective study analyzes the learning curve for thoracoscopic repair of type C esophageal atresia with tracheoesophageal fistula using CUSUM methodology in 50 consecutive cases. Results demonstrate that approximately 10 procedures are required to achieve proficiency, with the technique proving feasible and safe when performed under expert supervision.
