Per oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) in pediatric patients with esophageal achalasia: First Latin-American experience

This retrospective study reports the first Latin American experience with POEM for pediatric esophageal achalasia in five Chilean patients aged 5-15 years. All patients achieved complete dysphagia resolution with significant Eckardt score improvement and no major complications, supporting POEM as a safe alternative to laparoscopic Heller myotomy in children.
