Eosinophilic cholecystitis in children: Case series
Topic overview
This retrospective study of 134 pediatric cholecystectomy cases identified 11 patients with eosinophilic or lymphoeosinophilic cholecystitis, a rare condition in children. All cases presented with acute cholecystitis and cholelithiasis, required cholecystectomy, and recovered without additional treatment, highlighting that diagnosis is made postoperatively by histopathology.
