Quality of Life in Parents of Children Born with Esophageal Atresia

Cross-sectional study of 49 families reveals parents of children with esophageal atresia experience significantly reduced mental health compared to general population, with mothers and parents of younger/more severely affected children most impacted. Findings underscore need for targeted psychosocial interventions during early childhood years when caregiver burden peaks.
