Gastric tumors in children: single-center study with emphasis on treatment of repeated recurrence

This 25-year single-center retrospective study of eight pediatric gastric tumor patients demonstrates that while complete resection achieves 100% survival, GISTs and myofibroblastic tumors frequently recur locally despite clear margins, requiring multiple reoperations and lifelong surveillance.
