Educational attainment in childhood cancer survivors: a meta-analysis

This meta-analysis of 26 studies across 11 high-income countries demonstrates that childhood cancer survivors face significant educational disadvantages, with increased likelihood of requiring special education support and reduced completion rates at secondary and tertiary levels. CNS tumor survivors show persistent educational deficits through tertiary education, while non-CNS survivors catch up by college level, highlighting the need for early targeted educational interventions.
