Bracka verses Byar’s two-stage repair in proximal hypospadias associated with severe chordee: a randomized comparative study

This randomized study of 142 patients compares Bracka versus Byar's two-stage repair for proximal hypospadias with severe chordee. Both techniques showed similar complication rates (fistula 6.8-10.2%, meatal stenosis 3-4%, stricture 1%), with no recurrent chordee in either group, suggesting surgeon preference rather than evidence should guide technique selection.
