A randomized clinical trial in improving pulmonary function and functional capacity in pediatric open abdominal surgery

Randomized trial demonstrates that preoperative physiotherapy education combined with postoperative physiotherapy significantly improves pulmonary function and functional capacity in children undergoing open abdominal surgery compared to postoperative therapy alone. Results show faster recovery in spirometric parameters and mobility tests when preoperative education is included.
