Bladder bowel dysfunction in children with Down’s syndrome

Systematic review of 38 pediatric patients reveals bladder bowel dysfunction is common in Down syndrome, affecting predominantly males (2:1) with high rates of constipation, UTIs, and enuresis. Over half required surgical intervention as medical management and catheterization showed poor compliance, highlighting the need for early screening and proactive urological assessment in this population.
