Review of Early Postoperative Metrics for Children Undergoing Resection of Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformations and Report of Pleuropulmonary Blastoma at a Single Institution

Eleven-year retrospective study of 51 pediatric patients undergoing resection for CPAM or PPB found that asymptomatic CPAM patients had significantly shorter hospital stays and chest tube duration compared to symptomatic patients. Two PPB cases were misdiagnosed preoperatively as CPAM, emphasizing the need for low threshold for resection when differentiation is unclear.
