Difficulties classifying myasthenia gravis in the pediatric surgical literature

This letter critiques the use of outdated qualitative classification systems (Osserman staging and deFilippi treatment classification) in pediatric myasthenia gravis surgical literature. The authors advocate for more contemporary, quantitative approaches to MG assessment while supporting minimally invasive thymectomy techniques.
