Repetitive Imaging following Minimally Invasive Repair of Pectus Excavatum Is Unnecessary

Retrospective study of 360 pediatric patients across two hospitals found no difference in clinical outcomes despite significant variation in postoperative chest radiograph frequency after MIRPE. Results suggest routine repeat imaging beyond initial postoperative CXR may be unnecessary, supporting reduced radiation exposure protocols.
