Hepatic expression of HGF/C-met and native liver survival in biliary atresia

This study examined hepatic HGF/C-met expression in 41 biliary atresia patients undergoing Kasai operation to assess prognostic value for native liver survival. While BA patients showed significantly elevated HGF and C-met expression compared to controls, these biomarkers did not correlate with early outcomes or 3-year native liver survival rates.
