Predictors of long ECMO runs for congenital diaphragmatic hernia

Analysis of 4,730 CDH infants from the ELSO Registry (2000-2015) identifies risk factors for prolonged ECMO runs (≥14 days). On-ECMO surgical repair showed the strongest association with extended support duration (OR 3.72), informing clinical decision-making for timing of CDH repair in critically ill neonates.
