Comparative analysis of the results of videothoracoscopic sympathectomy in the treatment of hyperhidrosis in adolescent patients

Retrospective study of 2,431 patients comparing bilateral thoracic sympathectomy outcomes between adolescents and adults found no significant differences in clinical improvement, quality of life gains, or compensatory hyperhidrosis rates. Over 90% of both groups achieved substantial improvement, demonstrating VATS is equally effective for adolescent hyperhidrosis patients.
