Quality of life and neuropsychological development at school age in Hirschsprung's disease

Prospective study of 15 school-aged children with Hirschsprung's disease found paradoxically high quality of life scores despite subtle cognitive deficits in perceptual reasoning and processing speed (64% with dissociated IQ profiles). Authors recommend neuropsychological screening at school entry to identify specific learning disabilities in this population.
