Histopathological perspective of the pulled-through colon in Hirschsprung disease: Impact on clinical outcome

This case-control study examines histopathological features of pulled-through colon segments in 35 Hirschsprung disease patients to identify predictors of postoperative outcome. Patients with recurrent HAEC showed significantly thicker nerve bundles, focal nerve disarray, and acute inflammation compared to those with favorable outcomes.
