The adherence of adult trauma centers to American Pediatric Surgical Association guidelines on management of blunt splenic injuries

This retrospective study analyzed adherence to APSA guidelines for nonoperative management of blunt splenic injuries across different trauma center types. Pediatric trauma centers achieved 97% nonoperative management rates compared to 84% at adult centers, demonstrating significant variation in guideline implementation for hemodynamically stable children.
