The utility of magnetic resonance imaging in pediatric trauma patients suspected of having cervical spine injuries.

This retrospective study of 221 pediatric trauma patients evaluated the clinical utility of MRI after cervical spine CT. Results showed that normal CT effectively ruled out clinically significant cervical spine injuries, with no radiographically or clinically unstable injuries found in children with normal CT scans.
