Management of pancreatic pseudocysts in pediatric oncology patients

Published: Reading: 1 min

Topic overview

Retrospective study of 132 pediatric oncology patients showing that most medication-induced pancreatic pseudocysts (84% from PEG-asparaginase) can be managed conservatively regardless of size, contrary to adult guidelines. Only 29% required intervention, driven by symptoms rather than imaging characteristics or pseudocyst size.
