Management of Spontaneous Pneumothorax in Children: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Systematic review of 1,633 pediatric patients comparing conservative, aspiration/chest drain, and surgical management of primary spontaneous pneumothorax. Surgical intervention showed significantly lower recurrence rates (18%) versus nonsurgical approaches (32%), supporting surgery as first-line treatment in children.
